"GlobalFingerprints" Officially Launches!

GlobalFingerprints has officially launched and is now open to everyone! You can visit their Web site now to begin your sponsorship of an AIDS orphan in the northern Congo.

I just sponsored Kokote, the 5-year-old boy in the photo at left. I learned that he loves to play soccer, but he needs help to be able to attend school and receive medical care. I am looking forward to getting to know him better through sponsorship and correspondence.

You too can sponsor an orphan in the Congo today by visiting the GlobalFingerprints site!

GlobalFingerprints is an outreach ministry of TouchGlobal (the missions arm of the Evangelical Free Church of America).

If you are a current orphan sponsor, be sure to check out the new Web site for additional program information. We are praying for sponsors of 1,500 Congolese orphans in 2008. We know that through God's grace and your support, we will reach this goal!

For $25 per month, less than a dollar a day, you can change a child's life. During the past year, we've read on this site stories of children in the program. Our own Pastor Martin, Dr. Cal Kierum, and Linda McCoy met many of these children and helped us get acquainted with them.

Now we have the opportunity to help care for these orphans in Congo! The GlobalFingerprints program allows children to go to school and receive medical care. Through nutrition programs, their health improves. Through the local indigenous church, children learn and experience God's love. They will feel love that means so much to them ... and experience the hope that comes from drawing closer to Jesus.

All of that and more for only $25 a month! Please join us today. Elim can bless this effort forward! Share the Web site URL with your friends and family. Together, we will bring real hope in 2008 to 1,500 Congolese children ... and perhaps more.

Thank you for the part you will play!

REAL HOPE -- A Report From Mandaba

A few days ago, I went to visit a sponsored orphan whose name is Fabrice Yembe. I talked with his family. Fabrice has two brothers and a sister. When his father died, life became very difficult for them to handle.

Fabrice's mother never went to school and she cannot work. She has no money to take care of her children. When her husband died, her inlaws came and took away all the things that belonged to him!

When I visited this family, I realized that it is a family which truly is desperately poor. They are living in terrible conditions, and finding enough food to eat is difficult. When Fabrice became sponsored by GlobalFingerprints, a real hope came to this family.

Now, Fabrice can study and has access to a clinic for medical care. Fabrice's mother told me that "GlobalFingerprints looks like Fabrice's father has come back to life." She's so thankful for this program and what it provides!
